The ‘My Hero Academia’ live-action movie is officially moving forward after confirmation from Netflix. Shinsuke Sato, director of Alice in Borderland, will helm the project, while Jason Fuchs is writing the script.
According to the interview, original creator Kōhei Horikoshi was actively involved in every aspect of the production. He read and reviewed every page of the script. Fuchs said that the project would not move forward without Horikoshi's approval, ensuring that the emotions and themes of the original story would be preserved.
The project was first announced in 2018, but is only now finally moving forward. The team wants to make a film that is faithful to the manga while also easy for new viewers to understand.
There are no casting updates yet, but it is expected to be a big production in the anime adaptation industry. In the current exchange, if tickets or merchandise are released, the price is expected to reach ₱500 to ₱1,000 depending on the type.
Horikoshi's participation gives fans confidence that the heart of 'My Hero Academia' will remain alive even in the live-action version.
