Mitsubishi Motors Philippines has made a surprise announcement: the new 7-seater compact SUV Mitsubishi Destinator will arrive in the country this November 20, 2025. It is the first Mitsubishi to feature an in-car telematics system called Mitsubishi Connect.
Both variants—GLS and GT—have a 1.5-liter turbocharged MIVEC 4-cylinder engine that produces 163 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It comes with a water-cooled intercooler, Atkinson cycle for fuel economy, and CVT transmission. It also integrates Active Yaw Control with five drive modes including Tarmac mode (Sport mode).
Measuring 4,680 mm long, 1,840 mm wide, and 1,780 mm high with a 2,815 mm wheelbase, it's quite roomy. In terms of design, it comes with a Dynamic Shield front-end, T-shaped LED lights, and 18-inch wheels. There's also a panoramic sunroof, a new feature at this price point.
In other markets, its interior has an 8-inch digital gauge, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, dual zone aircon with ceiling vents, and 64-color ambient lighting. It also has USB ports up to the third row, electronic parking brake with auto hold, and hands-free power tailgate. Also included are Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium speakers.
Most exciting, because this is the first model in the Philippines with Mitsubishi Connect. Through a smartphone app, the owner can monitor and control several functions of the vehicle. The public launch will be held on November 20, 2025 at Ayala Malls Manila Bay area and there will be a weekend-long test drive event at ASEANA City Concert Grounds.
