
The tragedy occurred in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City on Tuesday, October 14, where three siblings aged 10, 7 and 5 died after their house caught fire.
According to their mother, Jeanine Pauline Miñoza, she and her husband left their sleeping children to go to a hospital in Manila for a CT scan of their ailing mother.
The 53-year-old grandmother survived after being rescued by firefighters. The fire was raised to third alarm at around 11 a.m. and declared fire out just after 1 p.m..
It is estimated that more than 30 families or more than 100 people have lost their homes and are now temporarily staying at the Sto. Domingo Parish evacuation site.
The Quezon City Fire District is still investigating the cause of the fire.
