The Adamson University Soaring Falcons once again showed their mettle after defeating the University of the East Red Warriors, 77-62, in the UAAP Season 88 at the Blue Eagle Gym, Quezon City.
Ray Allen Torres led Adamson with 16 points, including 3 threes, while Earl Medina contributed 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. In the first half, the Falcons led 45-25 but UE caught up in the third quarter after making a 33-12 run.
Entering the final period, Adamson scored 9 straight points to regain a 64-58 lead. UE only scored one field goal in the entire 4th quarter, from Thirdy Malaga, while Ced Manzano and Manu Anabo each hit a three to extend the lead to 16 points.
Manzano scored 9 points and Anabo had 7 points. With the win, Adamson improved to 2 wins and 4 losses. For UE, John Abate scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while DJ Robles had 14 points, but they slumped to their fifth straight loss this season.
