All the deceased were relatives from three families. Friends, neighbors, and relatives escorted them to the Corazon Cemetery. Throughout the mass, the crying and shedding tears of those left behind did not stop.
Among the dead were children aged 2, 5 and 8 years, as well as a couple aged 36 and 37 who were trapped in the collapsed rock. According to Rev. Fr. Ralph Argoncilla of the Holy Family of Nazareth Parish, it is difficult to explain the pain they are experiencing, but he called for prayers and courage for the families left behind.
