
The robbery incident occurred at a grocery store in Barangay San Antonio, Quezon City on Saturday night, September 27. According to the investigation, two men entered and brandished a gun and an ice pick at the cashier. They made off with approximately ₱28,000 from the store's revenue.
The police immediately responded after the incident was reported. The first to be arrested was the 20-year-old lookout, who was also a former grocery store employee. He directed two other accomplices, ages 23 and 17, who were later arrested in Barangay Vasra. A replica of a .45 caliber gun and ₱13,000 of the stolen money were recovered from them.
Also implicated was the cashier, a 21-year-old who was on duty at the time of the incident. Investigation revealed that he was the mastermind and the one who texted the accomplices to start the holdup. The cashier and his associates confessed to the crime, citing the dire need for money.
They are currently detained at the Masambong Police Station, while the minor has been turned over to Bahay Kalinga. They are facing charges of Robbery/Hold-up and violation of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.
