A nearby hospital suspended outpatient services for the safety of patients and staff. One employee said he was woken up by a loud rumble and the shaking of his home.
Despite the extensive damage, no deaths or injuries were reported. The government is set to conduct an investigation to determine the root cause of the tragedy and prevent similar incidents in the future.

A huge sinkhole on a Bangkok road has prompted evacuations after a section of road collapsed near a hospital. The hole was nearly 50 meters deep, knocking down power poles and bursting water pipes.
According to the Disaster Prevention Department of Bangkok, the landslide was possibly caused by heavy rain and a leak in a water pipe. The water from the pipe gradually eroded the soil under the road and fell towards the subway station under construction.
Residents and police were immediately evacuated from the scene. A pickup truck nearly fell over the edge of the hole. The Bangkok governor also said that soil was “sucked” under the construction, causing the collapse.
