The landslide on Marcos Highway, Sitio Begis, Barangay Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet on September 22 hit four vehicles: a fuel tanker, a van, a car, and an SUV. Nine people were on board, and one elderly passenger died while being treated at the hospital, according to the local disaster office. Six were initially reported injured and were immediately taken to the hospital.
The SUV was the worst hit after being buried under soil and rocks. As a result, classes at all levels and work in government offices in Abra, Apayao, Batanes, Benguet, Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union were temporarily suspended due to heavy rains brought by Typhoon Nando. Only agencies providing essential services were exempted from the suspension.
Sa Pampanga, mataas na tubig ang lumubog sa 43 barangay bago pa man tuluyang dumating ang bagyo. Pinakaapektado ang Macabebe (14 barangay), Masantol (22), Minalin (6), at San Fernando (1).
In Cagayan Valley, up to 14,733 families or 47,068 people have been affected. An estimated 5,732 families are staying in 277 evacuation centers. The towns of Cagayan and Isabela are the most affected.
