The Philippines has received high praise from FIVB president Fabio Azevedo for hosting the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship.
"Filipinos love the sport. All the athletes and their teams are so happy. From the start, they are 100% satisfied," said Azevedo.
The event was a success thanks to the combined support of the Philippine National Volleyball Federation, government, and private sector.
The country has also shown that it can host major sports events. It was two years ago when the Philippines hosted the FIBA World Cup.
"It is Olympic international standard. I would give it 10 out of 10," added Azevedo.
