A 36-year-old pregnant woman and her 34-year-old brother were shot dead inside a rented house in Barangay Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City, Wednesday night, September 10. Their 33-year-old friend was also injured.
According to the police, two men wearing helmets and jackets got off a motorcycle and entered the house. Both suspects had guns and immediately opened fire. On CCTV, a series of gunshots were heard near the scene of the incident.
The victims' sisters said they were shocked to see the two lying face down. The pregnant had come from Tarlac to attend her niece's birthday. According to the father, his daughter received a threat that she would be shot three days before she could give it to him.
The police investigation is ongoing and efforts are being made to identify the perpetrators. No clear motive has been identified for the crime.
