Viral vlogger Thine Medalla has denied spitting on the holy water font at a church in Misamis Occidental. In an interview, she said she did nothing wrong and explained that she just made a wish while looking at the holy water.
“I took the envelope, then I immediately returned it. I looked at the holy water because for me, I made a wish there. That’s all it meant,” Medalla explained while crying. When asked what her wish was, she said she wanted her dreams to come true even though her life is not perfect. “In terms of my content, it’s all very vulgar but I can’t do anything because I need to make money,” she added.
Medalla also expressed her anger at friends who were not real after the issue. “I saw that there are many friends who are not real. Only a few people really stayed with me now,” she said. She added that she is afraid of going to jail even though she did nothing wrong. “I just made a video but I didn’t spit on it,” she insisted.
Meanwhile, the church was temporarily closed as a sign of penance and reparation. According to the bishop, this is to maintain the respect and sanctity of the place. The church will only reopen after restoration works and an examination of the church.
