Nintendo has raised the prices of its Switch, Switch OLED and Switch Lite due to "market conditions."
From the previous ₱17,999 (about $299.99), the original Switch is now ₱23,999 (equivalent to $399.99). The Switch OLED has increased from ₱20,999 ($349.99) to ₱23,999, while the Switch Lite has gone from ₱11,999 ($199.99) to ₱13,799 ($229.99).
According to Nintendo, the price change is the effect of market conditions and import taxes from Vietnam, where most of their products are made.
In addition, the company mentioned that the prices of other products such as Switch 2 accessories, amiibo, and Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarm may also increase. While the prices of Switch Online membership, Switch 2, and games remain the same, there is a possibility that there will also be an increase in the future.
Nintendo is the latest gaming company to raise prices this year, following other major companies in the industry.
