Apple reported revenue of ₱1.3 trillion this quarter, higher than expected, even as US tariffs took a toll on its supply chain. The company's revenue for the quarter ended in June came in at ₱5.2 trillion, Apple said.
iPhone sales were strong, reaching ₱2.47 trillion, compared to ₱2.18 trillion last year. According to experts, this shows that Apple is resilient despite fierce competition in China and the impact of tariffs in the US.
Apple's costs have increased due to tariffs, reaching ₱44 billion this quarter and expected to increase to ₱60 billion next quarter. Tim Cook said they are taking steps to optimize the supply chain and plan to increase production in the US with a ₱28 trillion investment over four years.
Apple's services business also grew strongly, bringing in ₱1.52 trillion from the sale of digital content and subscriptions. They continue to diversify away from relying solely on hardware sales.
Despite the trade war and new tariffs, Apple is showing that its business is resilient, thanks to strong iPhone sales and the continued expansion of its services sector.
