The Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation or SAICT has vowed to continue its honest and courageous service despite the shooting and murder of one of their enforcers in Cavite on July 12, 2025.
The victim was identified as Hervin Cabanban, who was broken into and shot inside his home in the early hours of the morning. According to neighbors, two gunshots were heard coming from Cabanban's house around 2 a.m.
SAICT strongly condemned the incident and called it a cowardly and brutal crime. According to Asec. Jose Lim IV, “Hervin had no opponent. He was entered into the house, shot and stabbed.”
Despite the incident, Ground Commander Simeon Talosig, a retired general, said the group would not be shaken. “To the cowards who killed our comrades, we will remain steadfast and fearless. We will continue to serve the people.”
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon also issued a statement and said that President Bongbong Marcos has a directive to immediately resolve the crime. The department is currently in contact with the authorities for the investigation.
