
Former Duterte adviser Michael Yang's brother, Jianxin Yang, was arrested by police in Pasay City. He is also known by other names such as Antonio Lim y Maestrado, Antonio M. Lim, Tony Lim, and Tony Yang. According to authorities, he is facing charges including Falsification of Public Documents, Perjury, and violation of using different names or aliases.
According to Pasay City Police Chief Col. Joselito De Sesto, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) confiscated his passport because he still has a case with the agency. Yang has also been in the country for a long time even though his stay is illegal, he has been in the Philippines for almost 30 years. He was first arrested at NAIA Terminal 3 on September 19, 2024, after he landed from Cagayan de Oro.
Currently, Yang is detained at the Pasay City Police Station. There is no information yet on whether he is involved in any other illegal activities, apart from the three cases filed against him. He also denied any connection to illegal drugs, and said he has no communication with his brother Michael Yang.
According to Yang's statement, "Michael and I don't talk. I have my own family and children. He, his life is different." He added that he was unaware of any illegal activities.
