The SUV driven by a 13-year-old girl crashed into a van on Sunday, June 22, in San Juan, La Union. According to police, the girl was with another girl and both sustained injuries after the incident. Investigation revealed that they fled from their home in the vehicle.
Nangyari ang aksidente nang mawalan ng kontrol ang bata at lumampas sa kurbada ng kalsada. Sa lakas ng banggaan, nasugatan ang lahat ng 21 sakay ng van. Parehong dinala sa ospital ang mga biktima at kasalukuyang nasa stable condition.
Both vehicles were severely damaged and the investigation is ongoing. The girl is now in the custody of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office. They are also investigating how she was able to drive the vehicle.
According to Atty. Albert Sadili, parents are responsible when a minor commits an accident or crime. He explained that according to the Civil Code, parents must watch over their children to prevent such incidents.
