Indian nationals can now travel to the Philippines without a visa. The Department of Foreign Affairs announced this as a step to boost tourism from India.
For tourism purposes, Indian nationals are allowed to stay in the country for up to 14 days visa-free, provided they bring the following: valid passport, hotel booking, return ticket, and proof of financial capacity.
If you already hold a valid visa or residence permit from the US, Canada, Australia, Schengen area, Singapore, or UK, you may stay in the Philippines for up to 30 days. This cannot be converted to a visa-based stay or any other status.
These visa-free entries are for incoming tourists only. It cannot be extended or converted for other purposes. The applicant must also have no derogatory record with the Bureau of Immigration.
In 2024, nearly 80,000 Indian nationals visited the country — a 12% increase compared to 2023. According to Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, India has great potential in the field of tourism, which is why ties with them are being strengthened.
