A man, 45 years old, was caught on hidden camera while stealing from a computer shop in Barangay Maly, San Mateo, Rizal on May 31. In the CCTV footage, he can be seen looking around, then climbing onto a chair and taking the computer parts which he immediately put in a bag.
According to Jovy Dumagin, the shop owner's mother, they have been suspicious of the man for a long time because they have been repeatedly losing their AVR and motherboard. Because of this, they decided to install a hidden cam to catch him in the act of stealing.
In total, the value of the items stolen was around P40,000, including a motherboard worth P11,000. The next day, a resident sent CCTV from a nearby shop and this is where the pursuit of the suspect began.
