A 65-year-old man who was walking while holding his bicycle died after being hit by a bus along Antero Soriano Highway, Barangay Makina, Naic, Cavite, on Tuesday evening, May 6, 2025.
The victim was identified as Nelson Bating, a resident of Timalan Balsahan, Naic. According to the report, he was crossing from Makina Road to Maname Road when the incident occurred.
Around 11:50 p.m., the southbound passenger bus was traveling too fast, causing Bating to fall 15 meters from his bicycle.
He was taken by MDRRMC ambulance to San Lorenzo Hospital but was declared dead by doctors upon arrival.
The bus driver, Hani Jhon Cani, 47-year-old, was immediately taken to the Naic Police Station for investigation.
