
Typhoon Ada is being monitored as it slowly moves north-northwestward east of Eastern Visayas. According to the latest report, Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 remains in effect in 15 areas in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Light to moderate wind and rain are expected, especially in coastal and highlands.
Ada has maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph, with widespread gustiness of up to 100 kph from its center. Communities in Northern and Eastern Samar, Bicol Region, Leyte, and Caraga are advised to be cautious due to possible heavy rains that could cause flooding and landslides, especially in disaster-prone areas.
