A 21-year-old man was arrested after robbing a condominium unit in Barangay Sto. Niño, Marikina City on Sunday morning, January 11, 2026. According to the police, the suspect was riding a motorcycle and did not stop at the checkpoint of the condo guards.
Upon arriving at the parking area, the man parked his motorcycle and went up to the second floor of the condominium. The guards followed him, and with the help of their quick action, they observed the suspect entering the unit of a senior citizen dentist from Davao City.
The suspect used the screw to force open the door, as no one was inside the unit. Security guards immediately caught him leaving the condo unit and attempting to run. With quick response, the guards also cornered him and arrested at the scene.
A airsoft pistol loaded with bullets, a knife, video game console, neck fan, and other items were recovered from the suspect's bag. It was also learned that his motorcycle was stolen from Quezon City. He has also been previously imprisoned for theft cases.
Currently, the suspect is in the custody of the Marikina Police and is facing a new case of theft. According to him, “I will only speak in court,” while the police continue their investigation to ensure the security of the residents of the said condominium.
