
The Philippine population is expected to reach 123.96 million people by 2035, based on the latest projections by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA). This shows the country's population will continue to grow in the coming years.
It is estimated that 14.76 million new citizens will be added compared to 109.20 million in 2020, with an average annual growth rate of 0.85 percent from 2020 to 2035. This indicates the continued need for better economic planning and social services.
According to PSA projections, the male population is expected to reach 62.64 million (50.5%), while the female population will be at 61.32 million (49.5%) by 2035. The gender distribution in the total population remains almost balanced.
At the regional level, Calabarzon is expected to remain the most populous region with 19.07 million, followed by the National Capital Region with 14.49 million and Central Luzon with 14.02 million. Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Region is expected to have the smallest population of 2.13 million.
When it comes to provinces and cities, Cavite is expected to remain the most populous province in 2030 with 5.30 million, while Quezon City will continue to lead among highly urbanized cities with 2.92 million population.
