Mitsubishi has unveiled the Delica Mini “Active Camper” at the 2026 Tokyo Auto Salon, bringing the ultra-compact kei car to life as a rugged, off-road-ready mobile camper. As the centerpiece of the Delica Festival, this concept combines the heritage of the brand's longest-running production model with modern overland design, proving that size is no barrier to true adventure.
Despite the small size, utility is enhanced by a roof-mounted pop-up tent that doubles the living space and provides comfortable sleeping accommodation for two. The exterior is also reinforced with side awnings, high-intensity auxiliary lights, and protective skid plates, designed for stronger trail performance and long-term durability.
Underneath the attractive exterior lies true off-road capability: a lifted suspension with increased ground clearance, four-wheel-drive system, and aggressive all-terrain tires. Although it's a one-off concept for now, the Delica Mini Active Camper clearly demonstrates its modular potential—an inspiration for outdoor enthusiasts who value agility, versatility, and efficiency on every trip.
