The extremely rare 1969 Chevrolet Corvette L88 Convertible is currently being auctioned off at SBX Cars, and is expected to fetch over $1 million USD. It is one of only 116 units ever made, making it a must-see for serious muscle car collectors.
It features the original powertrain, including the 427 ci L88 V-8 engine and Muncie M22 four-speed manual gearbox, known for its pure motorsport performance. It does not have air-conditioning, power steering, or radio, as these were removed to make the vehicle lighter and faster.
It is wrapped in Le Mans Blue paint, with black convertible top, black vinyl interior, and 15-inch steel wheels with Firestone redline tires. With only 19,886 miles and an NCRS Top Flight Award, it is considered one of the cleanest examples of the C3-generation Corvette ever sold to the public.
