The thousands who protested the Trillion Peso March 2.0 called on President Marcos to lock up the “big fish” in the flood control scam before Christmas. According to them, quick action is needed to maintain his political capital for the 2028 elections. Up to 4,000 people gathered at the EDSA People Power Monument, in commemoration of the birthday of Andres Bonifacio, despite heavy rain.

Akbayan president Rafaela David said that the announcements should stop and that the big personalities involved in the billion-peso irregularities in the projects should be confronted. According to her, the big fish should be charged, arrested, and locked up, because if the government does not act, Marcos' political future will be hurt.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla revealed that will soon arrest the high-profile involved as mentioned by former DPWH undersecretary Roberto Bernardo. These include Senators Jinggoy Estrada, Francis Escudero, Ramon Revilla Jr., and Makati Mayor Nancy Binay, and several former officials. He also said the protests were peaceful and no trouble was reported.

In Manila, three freelance journalists were temporarily taken to the police station for wearing balaclavas, which are prohibited by ordinance. militant groups also filed a complaint alleging that the police blocked their stage truck and props, but their program, dubbed “Baha sa Luneta 2.0,” went ahead.

There were also protests in Tacloban, Dumaguete, Cebu, Zambales, Baguio, Ilocos Sur, and Pampanga, where thousands of people from various sectors vented their anger at corruption and called for prioritizing transparency, accountability, and proper use of public funds.
