The Yamaha Motor Company is preparing to launch the all-electric Yamaha Aerox E in India.
According to the company, the aim of the Yamaha Aerox E is to build a premium image for the electric vehicle market in India. This will be done domestically through India Yamaha Motor Private Limited. The Aerox name is also strong in India and the Philippines, especially after the launch of new models here such as the all-new Aerox and Aerox SP.
In appearance, the Aerox E has a design that is almost identical to the gas-powered Aerox. It has a beefy body, aerodynamic fairings, and LED headlamp system. Also visible are chunky wheels, spoked rims, and disc brakes that likely have ABS. On the side, the blue drive system that replaces the traditional exhaust is noticeable.
In terms of performance, the handling and ride quality are expected to be similar to the regular Aerox. But since it's electric, it could feel more instant acceleration and quick response. It will also be interesting to see how the electric drive system will mimic the three-level downshift control found in the new Aerox models.
