KTM and Husqvarna have issued a fuel cap recall for several models after a possible fuel leak was detected. The recall includes the 2024 KTM 125, 250, 390, and 990 Duke, as well as the Husqvarna Svartpilen and Vitpilen 125, 250, and 401. According to KTM, a problem with the fuel cap seal could cause a leak that could pose a fire hazard.
Although there will be no official PH distributor starting October 1, 2025, KTM Austria assured that Filipino riders can still go to the nearest authorized KTM or Husqvarna dealer for inspection and replacement of parts. They also said that they will soon announce who will be the new “KTM PH.”
According to Sarah Parzer, KTM's Senior Integrated Communication Manager, service in the Philippines will continue through local partners. Customers should not worry as after-sales support will continue.
To ensure that your motorcycle is included in the recall, owners are encouraged to check their VIN and Delivery Certificate Number on the KTM service site. This can be done before going to the dealer to speed up the process.
For now, riders are waiting to see who will be the new distributor, but KTM has assured that service will remain available for all affected customers.
