A tricycle driver was killed after being stabbed by a man in Barangay Tagapo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Sta. Rosa PNP, the 47-year-old victim was waiting for a passenger at the side of the PNR project. He noticed someone stealing a wire, so he shot him. The suspect got angry and immediately stabbed him with a knife.
The SWAT team immediately responded and arrested the 41-year-old suspect. The knife and blood-stained clothing were confiscated. The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
Investigation revealed that the suspect was previously involved in cable theft and also had a case of attempted homicide. Now, he is detained at the Sta. Rosa City Police Station and is facing a case of homicide.
