Actress Nadine Lustre has expressed her thoughts on the anger and sadness of Filipinos over the issue of misuse of money for flood projects. According to her, “It is infuriating and sad that our tax money is going the wrong way. It is really annoying.”
He also mentioned that it is important for people to continue to speak out. “When you speak out, something happens. We pay taxes to help and fix people's situations, so they should be held accountable,” Lustre added.
He admitted that it was discouraging, but he insisted that there should be accountability. He added, “You want to be a good payer because that is your contribution to the country, but it is disheartening if it is not used properly.”
As an inspiration, Nadine cited Vice Ganda, who she said is always brave enough to speak up. “We should all be outspoken. Meme, she's not afraid to say what's on her mind. In this day and age, we have to speak up, otherwise, nothing will happen.”
