The campaign against reckless drivers is ongoing. In the past six months, 2,008 Show Cause Orders (SCOs) have been issued to drivers, while 420 licenses have been revoked for serious traffic violations.
According to Secretary Vince Dizon, this is the highest number of suspended and revoked licenses in the agency's history. “We won't stop. Do you think we'll stop? We won't stop here,” he said.
Dizon also thanked obedient motorists who are helping by reporting and posting videos and photos of road violators. They have made a significant contribution to holding violators accountable.
Meanwhile, LTO Chief Atty. Vigor Mendoza II said they are targeting to issue up to 5,000 SCOs by the end of 2025. A 90-day suspension was also immediately implemented for those caught on video or photos violating traffic rules.
The campaign aims to make the roads safer and discipline drivers who continue to violate the law.
