A couple in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur was found dead this August 20 early in the morning. Residents and authorities discovered the body of a 60-year-old woman inside their hut, while her 58-year-old husband was found in the lawn, about 150 meters away from their house.
According to police, it is believed that the victims were hammered. However, the exact method of murder is still being investigated. Nothing was missing from their belongings and their pets also remained at the scene.
Police Staff Sergeant Arianne Tablada said there is no clear motive for the crime. “In the initial investigation, nothing was lost. Their animals are still there. At this time, we do not have a motive and the investigation is ongoing,” Tablada said.
The police's manhunt operation continues to catch the perpetrator of the heinous crime against the couple.
