Eight-time world champion Manny Pacquiao tops the new World Boxing Council (WBC) rankings for the welterweight division. Pacquiao moved up from 5th place after a majority draw against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios in July in Las Vegas.
Following Pacquiao in the ranking are Souleymane Cissokho from France, Raul Curiel of Mexico, Conor Benn of Great Britain, and Egidijus Kavaliausikas of Lithuania. Also included in the Top 10 are Thulani Mbenge, Jack Catterall, Emantas Stanionis, Rohan Polanco, and Abel Ramos.
Pacquiao's next opponent is still unknown, but it is confirmed that his fight will be in December. One of the possible opponents he could face is Mario Barrios in a rematch. Rolly Romero and Gervonta Davis are also being discussed as possible opponents.
