Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams surprised fans when she released 17 new songs on Friday. All of the songs were produced by Daniel James and mark a new chapter in her music career.
Under his new label Post Atlantic, Williams released the songs as part of his new project, which fans are calling “Ego.” It also features his collaborators Brian Robert Jones and Joey Howard. Williams himself wrote, recorded, and played some instruments for the songs.
He initially posted the songs on a mysterious website connected to his brand, but he quickly removed it two days later. After that, he formally uploaded each song as individual singles to streaming platforms on Friday.
According to fans, this is the beginning of a new era for Hayley Williams after Paramore's contract with the former label ended. Now, more people are waiting to see what else the singer will offer on her solo journey.
