A minor brother and sister fell into the Kabacan River in Barangay Poblacion, Kabacan, Cotabato. One of them, a 4-year-old boy, died after the incident.
The boy was with his 6-year-old sister when the accident happened. According to Rosalie Budoy from MDRRMO-Kabacan, they immediately conducted a rescue operation.
In the video, people can be seen gathering at the scene as a member of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) runs to pick up the child. He was immediately taken to the hospital on a tricycle, but he could not be saved.
The report revealed that the brothers' house was near the river. Their relatives were not aware that the two had gone to the river, so they accidentally fell in.
The search and retrieval operation for the missing girl is still ongoing while the full circumstances are being investigated.
