A construction worker in Barangay Zapatera, Cebu City died after being hit by a GI pipe that fell from the 22nd floor of the building. The victim was in a gondola on the 8th floor when the incident occurred.
After being hit on the head, he lost his balance and fell from the platform he was working on. This happened around 11 a.m. on June 10.
According to the police, they received the report late, it was past 5 pm when the accident was reported.
A thorough investigation is now underway to determine if there was negligence at the site and if the contractor is liable.
