A week after the tragic accident at NAIA Terminal 1, 4-year-old Malia Kates Yuchen Masongsong, the child who died in the incident, has been buried.
For the first time last night, Cynthia Masongsong caught a glimpse of her son's remains, before the day of the funeral. She could barely hold back her tears from the pain she felt at the loss of her only child.
Due to the injuries sustained in the accident, Cynthia is still in a wheelchair. She can hardly be separated from her son's coffin, as well as her husband Danmark.
Those who attended the funeral were filled with sadness. The family is joined by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), whose support continues.
Sec. Hans Leo Cacdac and OWWA Administrator Arnell Ignacio. Mass was held at Sto. Niño Parish and brought Malia's remains to Eternal Memorial Gardens.
