annulus, a new toy brand, has announced its upcoming product: a posable plastic model of Rikka Takarada from the GRIDMAN UNIVERSE movie. The model kit is based on Rikka's summer uniform look and will be released in July 2025.
Rikka is one of the main characters in SSSS.GRIDMAN, an anime based on the classic tokusatsu series Denko Chojin Gridman. She stars alongside Yuta Hibiki, Sho Utsumi, and Akane Shinjo. In the movie, we see her and Yuta develop a closer relationship, but everything suddenly changes when the kaiju and Gridman reappear.
The model kit comes with new parts to recreate Rikka's summer outfit. Made of multi-colored plastic, you don't need to paint. Her long black hair and skirt details are lifelike and dynamic. The joints are posable, so you can put them in different poses. There is also a replaceable lower body for a sitting pose that shows off curvy legs.
Accessories include three pairs of hands, and three face plates — with closed eyes, smiling, and shy face. There are decal stickers for the unpainted face plates, so you can customize them. The parts are also compatible with the TV version of the Rikka model, so you can play around with mixing and matching parts.
The "Rikka Takarada (GRIDMAN UNIVERSE) Posable Plastic Model" has a reference price of ¥5,940 with tax. Its height is around 150mm and comes with a dedicated stand. The sculptor is Yokoshima, and the coloring is done by Iyasaka Studio.
