A 60-year-old man was arrested in Barangay Western Bicutan, Taguig City on Wednesday night, March 12. According to the Taguig City Police Station, the suspect is unemployed and has previously been arrested in the same case.
Police Capt. Jowel Golimlim said the operation began after receiving a tip from an informant about the sale of illegal drugs.
Recovered from the suspect were 136.2 grams of suspected shabu worth P926,160, 21.3 grams of suspected marijuana worth P2,556, P500 buy-bust money, six pieces of P1,000 boodle money, and a blue pouch.
The suspect admitted that he owned them but insisted that he was only earning a commission as a deliverer.
The suspect is currently detained at the Taguig City Police Station and is facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The PNP reminded the public to avoid the use and sale of illegal drugs because it carries corresponding penalties.
