Liam Payne Had High Alcohol Level at His Death

A new report from the Argentine government has revealed Liam Payne's alcohol level when he fell from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires in October 2024.

According to the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor's Office No. 14, the former One Direction member had 2.7 grams per liter of alcohol in the blood when the incident occurred at the Casa Sur Hotel.

Based on the American Addiction Centers (AAC), this level of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is at 0.27%, which is between "very high" and "dangerous" levels. When the BAC reaches 0.20% to 0.29%, one may experience confusion, dizziness, and disorientation.

In this condition, a person may not feel if he will fall or be hurt and may not be able to immediately take action about it. It is also possible to experience vomiting, blackout, and choking due to an impaired gag reflex.

According to the report, cocaine metabolites, methylecgonine, benzoylecgomine, cocaethylene, and sertraline (a type of drug) were also found in Payne's body.

The document also mentions an employee of Casa Sur Hotel, Braian Nahuel Paiz, who is with Ezequiel David Pereyra, who allegedly gave Payne drugs in exchange for money.

"Fake doctors who treat people are dangerous. The practice of medicine is serious and should only be done by licensed professionals," said Torre.

The suspects will face charges under The Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009 and The Medical Act of 1959.
