Kurono Tokyo's “SENSU NOS” Models Showcase Impressive Guilloché Dials

Kurono Tokyo is back with their new watch release, and has revealed two Special Projects Réserve de Marche wristwatches called “SENSU NOS.”

Presented in blue and cream variants, both models have a spectacular guilloché work on a convex dial, reimagined by Kurono Tokyo founder and renowned watchmaker Hajime Asaoka. It comes in a 38mm case diameter, and the “SENSU NOS” design has an Art Deco appeal. The Cream variant has Arabic numerals, while the blue-steel hands provide an attractive color contrast to the subdued dial. Meanwhile, the Blue edition has Eastern elements such as calligraphic Kanji hour-makers and a guilloché power-reserve indicator in the shape of a folding Japanese fan.

The heart of “SENSU NOS” is a Cal.9134PWT movement modified in-house by Kurono Tokyo. According to the brand, Asaoka had to remove the caliber's original date function to reduce the indicators on the dial — because he wanted a classic clean dial to showcase his guilloche design.

The Special Projects Réserve de Marche “SENSU N.O.S” watches are priced at $2,150 USD (PHP 121,150) each and will be available for order on October 10, 10 p.m. JST / 9 a.m. EDT. All successful orders are expected to receive the watch starting November 2024. For more information, visit Kurono Tokyo's official website.
