But despite the hype, the <strong data-start=\"593\" data-end=\"610\">R9's design<\/strong> is <strong data-start=\"614\" data-end=\"629\">understated<\/strong>\u2014easily <strong data-start=\"639\" data-end=\"661\">blending in with the crowd<\/strong> and not immediately noticeable to most people.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"721\" data-end=\"1080\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">At first glance, many expected the R9 to be a <strong data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"795\">conversation magnet<\/strong> at motorcycling events or local meet-ups. But despite this, it was surprising that <strong data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"914\">there was little interest<\/strong> from passing riders. Many <strong data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"996\">realized that it looked like an R7 or R6<\/strong> at first glance, so it was not immediately noticed as Yamaha's new supersport.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1082\" data-end=\"1488\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The R9's <strong data-start=\"1086\" data-end=\"1111\">blue and white livery<\/strong> is certainly <strong data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1147\">fabulous<\/strong>, but it's not <strong data-start=\"1166\" data-end=\"1182\">in-your-face<\/strong> compared to other rivals like the <strong data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1246\">bright-orange KTM 990 RC R<\/strong>. Because of this, the R9 can <strong data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1291\">slip into the backdrop<\/strong> among the brighter and flashier race reps and adventure bikes. Whether on trackdays or passing houses in the countryside, its presence remains <strong data-start=\"1724\" data-end=\"1734\">subtle<\/strong> while providing <strong data-start=\"1775\" data-end=\"1803\">cracking induction noise<\/strong> to the rider, especially with the help of the taller <strong data-start=\"1849\" data-end=\"1872\">Puig R-Racer screen<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1877\" data-end=\"2208\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">One \u200b\u200bimportant thing to remember is the <strong data-start=\"1924\" data-end=\"1941\">mirror stalks<\/strong>. While visibility is great, longer mirror stalks would be more helpful as the view is often obscured by the elbow.
