Cruz, Manila. The inspection aims to ensure that the passenger vehicles are safe and in good condition before the regulations are fully implemented nationwide.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"723\" data-end=\"1099\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to <strong data-start=\"732\" data-end=\"764\">LTFRB chairman Vigor Mendoza<\/strong>, the inspection covered a <strong data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"837\">comprehensive and automated process<\/strong> including <strong data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"969\">visual inspection, side slip test, suspension test, brake test, emission test, sound test, and headlight assessment<\/strong>. Both <strong data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1040\">under-chassis and above-chassis components<\/strong> were also examined, with a total of <strong data-start=\"1058\" data-end=\"1096\">57 inspection items per vehicle<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1101\" data-end=\"1428\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Mendoza emphasized that the goal of the program is <strong data-start=\"1157\" data-end=\"1193\">to improve public service<\/strong>. \"We are showing it to stakeholders to see what needs to be fixed before we implement it nationwide. Jeepney operators have the opportunity to fix their vehicles if they fail the inspection,\" he said.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1430\" data-end=\"1740\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Manibela President Mar Valbuena supported the initiative and said that almost <strong data-start=\"1449\" data-end=\"1484\">95 percent of their jeepneys are in good and roadworthy condition. \"When a vehicle, regardless of the type of transportation, is no longer roadworthy, the operation and franchise should be stopped,\" he added.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1742\" data-end=\"1925\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The LTFRB announced that <strong data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1839\">they also plan to conduct inspections of buses next week<\/strong> to maintain the safety and quality of public transportation in the country.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isinagawa ng Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) nitong Huwebes ang roadworthiness inspection ng mga jeepney sa isang Motor Vehicle Inspection Center sa Sta.
