According to reports, the ambulance belonged to the barangay and was on its way to transport a patient to the hospital when the incident occurred.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"570\" data-end=\"810\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In the photos that have been circulating online, the moment of the <strong data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"640\">hit<\/strong> can be seen while the victim was <strong data-start=\"648\" data-end=\"661\">crossing the street. It was learned that the ambulance <strong data-start=\"691\" data-end=\"710\">counterflowed<\/strong> on the road, causing the victim to not immediately notice the oncoming vehicle.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"812\" data-end=\"1138\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The victim, <strong data-start=\"838\" data-end=\"850\">Princess<\/strong>, shared that she was on her way home from the market when the accident occurred. She said she thought the ambulance would not pass in her lane and that she was in a <strong data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1009\">blind spot<\/strong> so she did not see it. She was immediately taken into an ambulance and <strong data-start=\"1073\" data-end=\"1115\">rushed to the nearest hospital<\/strong> for first aid.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1472\" class=\" translation-block\">Meanwhile, the driver, Manuel Busto Jr., explained that he was being treated for an emergency following a separate collision when he suddenly heard a loud impact on the side of the ambulance. He assured that all expenses for the victim's treatment were covered and that contact with his family was ongoing.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1474\" data-end=\"1803\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The barangay will undergo an <strong data-start=\"1507\" data-end=\"1521\">assessment<\/strong> of the driver to ensure his <strong data-start=\"1552\" data-end=\"1576\">ability to drive<\/strong> the ambulance in emergency situations.
