The allegations stemmed from <strong data-start=\"923\" data-end=\"971\">alleged misuse of public funds<\/strong> for a <strong data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1022\">flood control project in Bulacan<\/strong>, with several former government officials and engineers as respondents.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1107\" data-end=\"1556\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Meanwhile, government officials have called on the public to <strong data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1208\">trust the justice process<\/strong>, insisting that the cases are being treated according to the same standards as previous investigations.
