According to them, they met Discaya after he went public in connection with the investigation into the flood control scandal. They pointed to Discaya as the person who told them about the new owner of the house that their boss used to rent, businessman and socialite <strong data-start=\"1125\" data-end=\"1140\">Rico Ocampo<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1145\" data-end=\"1541\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Witnesses said that after purchasing the house, Ocampo was evicted to make way for the new owner. When they could not immediately complete the deadline for vacating, they suggested asking for an <strong data-start=\"1351\" data-end=\"1382\">extension from the new owner<\/strong>, and Discaya allegedly mentioned who the buyer was. The Senate stated that it would not allow the two women to be unmasked, even if Discaya wanted it.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1543\" data-end=\"1922\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">On the other hand, Romualdez's lawyer, <strong data-start=\"1599\" data-end=\"1620\">Atty. Ade Fajardo<\/strong>, said the allegation against the former speaker is <strong data-start=\"1665\" data-end=\"1705\">\u201clogically and physically impossible\u201d<\/strong>. He said Discaya stated under oath that he has never been to South Forbes Park, and Romualdez's name is not on any <strong data-start=\"1854\" data-end=\"1890\">deed, contract, or payment record<\/strong> related to the said property.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1924\" data-end=\"2246\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Fajardo ultimately emphasized that Joy and Maria's statements were <strong data-start=\"1999\" data-end=\"2031\">not supported by documents<\/strong> and only came from the staff of an evicted tenant.
