Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City, at around <strong data-start=\"465\" data-end=\"482\">6:00 a.m.<\/strong> on Monday, January 19. Residents in their surroundings immediately felt threatened by the sudden burst of fire into the houses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"879\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the BFP Mandaluyong, <strong data-start=\"640\" data-end=\"670\">the fire was raised to third alarm<\/strong> at around <strong data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"702\">7:30 a.m.<\/strong> to extinguish the fire faster and protect surrounding homes. The quick response of firefighters helped avert a wider disaster.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"1109\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">At <strong data-start=\"888\" data-end=\"902\">8:56 a.m.,<\/strong> authorities declared the situation <strong data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"956\">fire under control<\/strong>. However, they are continuing to <strong data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1036\">extinguish remaining fires<\/strong> in homes while ensuring there is no new threat to residents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1111\" data-end=\"1338\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Many <strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1149\">residents also helped<\/strong>, spraying water and providing support to firefighters to speed up the fire extinguishing. The cooperation of the community was a great help in the rapid response to the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1340\" data-end=\"1600\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Despite the danger, there were no reports of casualties, but authorities are still investigating the <strong data-start=\"1438\" data-end=\"1461\">origin of the fire<\/strong> and the total damage to the homes.
