Rodriguez Avenue, Barangay Dalig, Antipolo, Rizal<\/strong> on Wednesday night, January 14. The barangay immediately responded after 11 p.m. when it received a call about the incident.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"1018\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">When officers arrived, they found the front of the pick-up truck damaged and the <strong data-start=\"768\" data-end=\"788\">driver was bleeding<\/strong>. According to <strong data-start=\"799\" data-end=\"817\">Raymundo Juico<\/strong>, Public Safety Officer of Barangay Dalig, \u201cIf you could see the vehicle, the front was so damaged that you would think the driver was dead. The airbag deployed but he was still hit in the face.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1020\" data-end=\"1278\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the investigation, <strong data-start=\"1043\" data-end=\"1064\">the driver<\/strong> of the pick-up truck was drunk. Juico added, \u201cAccording to the witness, he had been drinking.\u201d While police were investigating the incident, it emerged that the pick-up truck had hit another vehicle before fleeing and hitting a pole.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1280\" data-end=\"1680\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Public Safety Officer Luis Capales said that other vehicles chased the pick-up truck: \u201cThey were coming from Lico\u2019s Park, they had already hit each other. The car chased him until they got here. Maybe he panicked, that\u2019s why he crashed into the pole.\u201d The incident left the road impassable for two hours after two poles fell and telephone wires were down.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1682\" data-end=\"1901\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">The driver was taken to a <strong data-start=\"1692\" data-end=\"1705\">hospital<\/strong> while the <strong data-start=\"1741\" data-end=\"1769\">police investigation<\/strong> continues.
