The program aims to expedite the construction of classrooms and improve the management of school infrastructure.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"711\" data-end=\"1134\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to Angara, the <strong data-start=\"741\" data-end=\"773\">Economic Development Council<\/strong>, chaired by the President, has approved the <strong data-start=\"807\" data-end=\"889\">Phase 3 of the Public-Private Partnership for School Infrastructure Project (PSIP)<\/strong>. This is part of broader reforms for the fast and efficient construction of classrooms. Nearly <strong data-start=\"1008\" data-end=\"1039\">800,000 learners per year<\/strong> will benefit while reducing congestion in more than <strong data-start=\"1085\" data-end=\"1116\">1,000 public schools<\/strong> nationwide.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1520\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">PSIP 3 will construct and maintain <strong data-start=\"1179\" data-end=\"1200\">16,459 classrooms<\/strong> in <strong data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1221\">1,095 schools<\/strong> in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4-A, 4-B, NCR, and CAR. It focuses on <strong data-start=\"1281\" data-end=\"1308\">congested urban schools<\/strong>, while there is a separate project for last-mile schools. The program also targets to reduce the <strong data-start=\"1407\" data-end=\"1429\">average class size<\/strong> from 50 learners to 39, which will contribute to a safer and more orderly learning environment.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1901\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">In addition, <strong data-start=\"1548\" data-end=\"1578\">57,000 jobs are expected to be created, and the government will save <strong data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1628\">P40.15 billion<\/strong>. Projects are also being accelerated under the President's <strong data-start=\"1676\" data-end=\"1706\">\u201cgreen lane\u201d PPP directive<\/strong>, with support from the economic team, PPP Center, and Asian Development Bank. Construction is targeted to begin in <strong data-start=\"1835\" data-end=\"1849\">March 2027<\/strong> and be completed within <strong data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1884\">19 months<\/strong>, or March 2028.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1903\" data-end=\"2398\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Meanwhile, private education stakeholders maintained the transparency and accountability of the Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Program, which supports 1.24 million learners in 4,338 private senior high schools.
