When the boy's adoptive mother died on October 5, 2025, she slowly began to make up for lost time with her son.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"927\" data-end=\"1409\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">On the day of the incident, Gianni Rick Nodero was excited about his <strong data-start=\"993\" data-end=\"1029\">school exam and dance competition<\/strong>. His mother was preparing him a school uniform in the morning, but while waiting for his father, he suddenly disappeared and left behind only his <strong data-start=\"1185\" data-end=\"1199\">school bag<\/strong>. The family and neighbors immediately launched a search. At around 11 a.m., the boy's body was found in Barangay Santiago 2, riddled with <strong data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1374\">stab wounds<\/strong> and other serious injuries.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1411\" data-end=\"1720\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Two witnesses identified the <strong data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1467\">59-year-old suspect<\/strong>, who is a relative and neighbor of the family. According to police, he was quickly arrested but the possible <strong data-start=\"1588\" data-end=\"1608\">weapon used<\/strong> or the bloodstained clothing have not yet been recovered. The family is extremely <strong data-start=\"1658\" data-end=\"1669\">shocked<\/strong> because the suspect is a first cousin of the child's father.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1722\" data-end=\"2121\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">According to the investigation, the cause of the crime was a <strong data-start=\"1774\" data-end=\"1803\">simple fight between children<\/strong>, where the victim often fought with the suspect's grandson. According to the victim's mother, <strong data-start=\"1895\" data-end=\"1922\">a little mischief is normal for children<\/strong>, so the family is deeply saddened by what happened. \u201c<strong data-start=\"2001\" data-end=\"2039\">Why did he do that to my child?<\/strong>\u201d asked Rochelle, showing extreme <strong data-start=\"2093\" data-end=\"2118\">sadness and shock<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"2123\" data-end=\"2455\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Despite the suspect's denial, the investigation is ongoing and the police have filed a case with the <strong data-start=\"2223\" data-end=\"2251\">city prosecutor\u2019s office<\/strong>.
