The move sets a new standard for how big tech companies secure <strong data-start=\"729\" data-end=\"767\">clean and sustainable electricity<\/strong> for AI.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"1274\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Under the agreements with <strong data-start=\"813\" data-end=\"823\">Vistra<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"861\">Meta<\/strong> is reviving and upgrading aging nuclear reactors in Ohio and Pennsylvania. This includes <strong data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"975\">20-year power purchase commitments<\/strong> that keep the <strong data-start=\"996\" data-end=\"1045\">Perry, Davis-Besse, and Beaver Valley reactors<\/strong> running while adding 433 megawatts of new capacity to the PJM grid. It aims to put the <strong data-start=\"1485\" data-end=\"1520\">Natrium and Aurora fast reactors<\/strong> into actual operation rather than just remaining on slide decks. The move confirms that nuclear energy is becoming a <strong data-start=\"1657\" data-end=\"1674\">status symbol<\/strong> for large AI companies.<\/span><\/p><p data-start=\"1711\" data-end=\"2014\" class=\" translation-block\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Meta's move to <strong data-start=\"1735\" data-end=\"1757\">nuclear-powered AI<\/strong> is not just a matter of technology but also <strong data-start=\"1810\" data-end=\"1825\">geopolitics<\/strong>.
